K9 TACTICAL DOG HELMET
K9 Helm provides cranial protection for canines working in human rescue operations. The helmet design offers a stable platform for tactical gear such as cameras, lights, and communication electronics, as well as safety accessories such as detachable ear protection and muzzles. The headgear is designed to fit Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd dogs for use in training as well as in the field.
FEATURES
– The Main Shell is single piece of super-tough, 3D printed nylon. It features complex curves and details that are finely tuned for performance and durability.
– ANSI rated, UV400 Eye Protection is easy to install and remove, yet stays firmly in place. Independent, spherical lenses are canted to each side to maximize the dog’s peripheral vision.
– Left and Right Retension Plates squeeze inwards with strap tension, providing cushy-yet-firm clamping force.
– Thick Rubber Strap is reversible for use by right or left handed humans.
– 2- Position rail can be used to mount a variety of devices, or it can be removed altogether in favor of cameras like MOHOC, which may be attached directly to helmet surface.
– Flexible Rear Brace meets the neck and terminates in a flared beaver tail, stabilizing the helmet during sudden changes to head and neck angles.
– Secured with Velcro, the multi-panel Foam Padding is easily replaced and made in 3 sizes to achieve the best possible fit.
– Captive Strap guides and Shielded Button stud provide a secure closure that’s fast and easy to operate.
– Removable Fasteners facilitate easy disassembly.
HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DOG'S HEAD
Use the templates below to see if the Trident helmet will fit your dog. Print them all at once or try them one at a time. Please note that PDFs often auto scale to fit your paper size. You MUST make sure the templates print at 100% with NO PAGE SCALING.
For best results, cut out the templates and tape them onto cardboard to make them sturdy. Choose the best fit for each template type — W (width), L (length), S (snout). Use a tape measure for N (neck).
All Trident Helmets include a Fit-Kit — a 10 piece set of Velcro backed spacer pads. These help snug up the fit for smaller heads. The setup can be altered later if needed. Simply change the spacer pads.

Large Fit-Kit spacer pads
Large dogs have different needs for a proper fit. This kit includes the standard 6 mm goggle foam and spacers because large heads sometimes have a chiseled, narrow snout. A rear pad and 2 spacers are great for large heads that measure L2 or L1 with our templates. This is a very common situation with Dutch Shepherds.

ACCESSORIES
Trident Ear Pro Pods
These robust, detachable ear covers are made of the same 3D printed nylon as the Trident M1. They can be installed and removed while the helmet is on the dog’s head, or they can remain in place — attached directly to the helmet shell.
A shock cord tether keeps the pair from getting separated and included hardware allows tether to be secured to the back of the helmet, reducing the possibility of it being snagged.
This is a useful accessory for breaching situations, helicopter delivery, and high-altitude jumps. Ear Pro Pods also provide an excellent opportunity for developers of canine audio control and comms system electronics.
Replacement Lenses
UV400 shatterproof polycarbonate lenses have an anti-scratch coating. Lenses include 1 left side lens, 1 right side lens and a microfiber pouch.
